Kee Marcello is one of our great Swedish guitar heroes. He formed Easy Action with Peo Thyrén. The band also included Tommy Nilsson from 1985. In the same year, they and almost 30 Swedish hard rock bands chose to be part of the Swedish Metal Aid charity project where they performed "Give a Helping Hand". The song was written by Europe's singer Joey Tempest and produced by Kee Marcello, who also plays the guitar solo on the song in question. Perhaps that is why he became the obvious choice as John Norum's successor when he left Europe. Kee became Europe's guitarist just in time for them to break through on a wide front and start riding on the success of "The Final Countdown" (1986). In addition, he helped create the records "Out of This World" (1988), which peaked at number 19 on Billboard's album chart, as well as the brilliant "Prisoners in Paradise" (1991). A couple of years later, Europe shut down and apart from participating in the group's performance at the turn of the millennium, Kee has not worked with the band since it disbanded in 1992. In 2011, however, he released "Redux Europe", filled with Kee's own interpretations of Europe classics, something he now goes out and does gigs with, so also in Knislinge, "Let the Good Times Rock", "Girl From Lebanon" och "Superstitious" etc. are perfect songs for a pre-party.. .because Kee is playing at the pre-party. So make sure your ticket also gives entry to Friday. You can't miss the final countdown before the festival really starts.
