What is Time To Rock Festival?

- "Our goal is to deliver a festival that we ourselves would want to go to".

That actually sums up our basic idea and philosophy quite well.

We feel that a festival is so much more than music, although music is the primary thing of course. But we strive to keep the prices down on everything we can control. Free parking, cheap camping and cold drinks and food that doesn't dig too big a hole in the wallet. But it's important to find the right balance in that too. Because at the same time we want the festival to be able to support itself financially. But we don't have the goal of becoming very rich and very big. Really not. We just want to create something that can support itself for many years to come. We have started to get closer to this in recent years.

As for the music, we want to keep it within "rock" & "blues". Among this we also find hard rock, heavy metal and more subgenres. Simply put, we want to deliver a rock festival with the possibility of a little debauchery. Here too, we feel that we have come close to this goal.

Something that we also think is important in our philosophy is that we do not want to put too much gun powder on "big bands", but we want to create a whole where all bands are equally important for the total experience. We do not think the old expression "headliner" is relevant. We want all bands to be equally important.

We want to create with both old and new. Find those bands that "are they still around?", "have they never played in Sweden before?". Simply surprises. At the same time as we present a band that was formed in the 70s, we also want to deliver new bands, on the rise. Find the perfect mix, which can make every festival day interesting for our visitors. We want our audience to feel that there is thought and knowledge behind every booking. "For music lovers, by music lovers".

We also want to put a lot of effort into creating a festival where you don't have to stand in long queues, not be crowded and where it should be easy to get close to the artists on stage. Try to create a rock club feel, but in festival garb. Here too, you have to find the perfect mix, where the number of visitors is so large that it is economically justifiable, while at the same time it should feel convivial.
