Well, how do you describe this unique and strange band, whose first album was called "Ålarnas Skräck" (The Horror of Eels) and was released in 1990? It's probably so, that if you haven't seen and heard this band live, you'll understand absolutely nothing. Especially if you are not Swedish speaking! But after a gig with Hässleholm-born Joddla med Siv, you stand there with a silly grin and feel happy after hearing songs like "Kaj Ä Gaj" (Kay is Gay), "Uma-Ness från Senegal" (Uma-Ness from Senegal), "Inte Ens En Kolvastång" (Not Even a Piston Rod), "Jordfräsen" (The Tiller) or the very suspicious, shocking, crazy and captivating "Kärringen Å Myran" (The Bitch and he Ant). The music behind the mean and nasty lyrics (the band jokes about basically anything) is a mix of folk and rock with reggae influences and it's hard not to stomp along when the band kicks off. In 2023, the band broke some kind of epic audience record at the Sweden Rock Festival. Absolutely crazy amount of people at their gig. So now Joddla is coming to us this summer and the band consists of Lyckliga Martin, Stefan Rageblad, Pär Plåt, Mange Manet. Jeppe Kaga and Bo Sko. Six completely normal names in Hässleholm, we assume. The audience record at Time To Rock will be beaten hard, without any doubt, when they end the festival night on July 6, 2024 and you will be happy for the rest of your life that you were there. Remember where you read it first!
