Pierced Arrow in 1979 became Beowulf, which eventually landed in the metal band Crimson Glory in 1983. The group is from the USA and can be said to have had its most active period during the 80s. The self-titled debut was released in 1986 and two years later “Transcendence” came out. Both albums are considered classics by the group’s fans. In 1991 “Strange and Beautiful” was released and not long after that the band split up. The first time Crimson Glory reunited was only between 1999 and 2000. During that time they managed to release their fourth album, Astronomica (1999). There was another reunion from 2005-2013, a period during which the group’s iconic singer, Midnight, unfortunately passed away in 2009. However, he had already been replaced two years earlier. The current reunion tour started in 2023 and features two new faces in Travis Wills (vocals) and Mark Borgmeyer (guitar) as well as the three original members Jeff Lords (bass), Ben Jackson (guitar) and Dana Burnell (drums). Crimson Glory has played as many shows on Swedish soil as most of us have thumbs. The most recent was at a neighboring festival in 2025. Rocknytt gave the gig a 5 out of 5 rating, which feels promising for the gig with us. That's two thumbs up on this booking, right?
