Molly Hatchet (USA)

Maybe Molly Hatchet have been standing a bit in the shadows of Lynyrd Skynyrd, but without any doubt have the same great quality. Like Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet also originates from Jacksonville, Florida and plays southern rock, a great mix between hard rock, blues and country. The band started out as early as in 1971 and released their eponymous debut LP in 1978. The first out of, so far, 14 studio albums. Their first album contained songs like "Bounty Hunter" and "Gator Country", two classic songs still played live. That also goes for the title track of their second album, "Flirtin with Disaster" (1979), that without any doubt is their biggest hit of all times. A song that also need to be mentioned is the beautiful semi-ballad "Fall of the Peacemakers" from the album "No Guts...No Glory" (1983).
