Uli Jon Roth (GER)

Guitar legend Uli Jon Roth was born in 1954 in Düsseldorf, West Germany. He had his big breakthrough when he replaced Michael Schenker in Scorpions in 1973. Or to be politically correct, Scorpions remaining two members, Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker joined forces with Uli's band Dawn Road. Scorpions was a better-known band at the time so they kept that name.

After five years, four studio albums and a live album, Uli decided to leave Scorpions and started a new band called "Electric Sun" After a few albums under that name he started a new chapter in his career and went solo in 1986.

With one leg in Hendrix-oozing rock and the other leg in classic music, Uli's music has been descibed as neo classic metal among other things. 2004 Uli really took his classic music to the extreme when he released a "cover album" of Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons". But live, Uli stick very much to the hard rock, and we can expect a bunch of early Scorpions classics. This will be a show to remember!
