Kal P. Dal is a Skånsk legend who unfortunately left the world too early, in 1985, aged only 35. He had made records such as "Till Mossan" (1977), "Gräd ente Fassan!"(1978), "Rock e' nock" (1979) and a couple more. On these discs we find lots of good songs, and not least refined versions of international hits such as "Houndans kvinna" ("Honkey Tonk Woman"), "Blåa Sko" (Blue Suede Shoes), "Knabbar på hemelens dörr" ("Knocking on Heavens Door") and finely tuned "Jonnie" ("Johnny Don't Do It"). It's not just us at the festival who see Kal P Dal as legendary. He has had a Pågatåg named after him, as well as a street in Arlöv, a book, film and musical have been written about his life AND his backing band, Pågarna, continues to carry on the musical legacy under the name Pedalens Pågar. Of course, it is Pedalens Pågar who comes to us in Knislinge and in front of all the old classics. From Kal P. Dal's time we find Janne Knuda (bass) and Jan Morge (guitar). The band is completed by Nicklas Andersson (drums) and Lasse Lindskoug (vocals). Expect Skånsk sing-alongs and nostalgia.
