Smash Into Pieces  (S)

Monday July 7

Smash Into Pieces went from being a popular band in Swedish modern metal to, in the spring of 2023, becoming public domain in Sweden. When the group entered as underdogs in Melodifestivalen with the song "Six Feet Under" and finished in third place, it was inevitable. In 2024, they weren't underdogs anymore, but it went just as well then, and they picked up another third place with "Heroes Are Calling". Smash Into Pieces started in 2008. The first album "Unbreakable" came out in 2013 and the latest "Ghost Code", the eighth in the series, came out earlier this year. Since the beginning, the group has consisted of singer Chris Adam Hedman Sörbye and guitarists Benjamin Jennebo and Per Bergquist. With the third album "Rise and Fall" (2017), the line-up changed slightly when both the bassist and the drummer left the band and instead the silent and LED-masked The Apocalypse DJ, also called Apoc, was added on drums. With that, the group's sound was updated to become more electronic, in addition, they suddenly had a brilliant mascot (sorry, we couldn't help it) in Apoc. That Smash Into Pieces is coming back to us after only two years shows that they were well received by you last time. Good rating for you, our visitors. Give them an equally warm welcome this time.
