The Anti-Queens cancel. Scarlet steps in!

square-2024-single-band.jpgScarlet is the name of the alternative metal duo that stirred this year's Melodifestivalen ( Sweden's qualification contest for Eurovision) pot together with Smash Into Pieces. Scarlet made it as far as the finals with "Circus X", which shows that their theatrical rock went home in the cottages. The two anonymous front figures call themselves Scarlet Hunts and Thirsty and are made up like skeletons and vampires respectively. Scarlet was started in 2018 and with only a couple of singles on Spotify, they were on Sweden's big festival stages in 2019, including the Sweden Rock Festival. That gig made Scarlet a real talk of the town and the duo hadn't even released their first full-length at the time. Scarlet Hunts also showed up in 90s rocker Erika's new music video for the song "Ball Gag". In other words, the ball was rolling... The debut, "Obey the Queen" was released in November 2020 and when "you know what" was already underway, Scarlet's progress was slowed down, just like for all other artists in the industry. When "you know what" was over, the girls went on a tour with the aforementioned Smash Into Pieces and after that they released a number of singles again. Most recently "Circus X", of course, but songs like "Kill Me Another Day", "Pow Pow Pow" and "Everybody Dies" are really worth highlighting. The ball is rolling again and in July it will roll all the way to Knislinge.

First up is the Bourbon Boys , led by Raubtier's Pär Hulkoff, who will deliver his mix of country and southern rock, cast in a northern mold. Sweden's very own rednecks are coming to Knsilinge! From Glasgow comes the classic metal band from "back in the days", namely Heavy Pettin' , which many of us who were hard rockers in the 80s remember with songs like "Sole Survivor" and "In and out of Love" among others. We finish with a band...

Bonafide to Time To Rock with brand new song! A hard working band! Yes, you can really say that about Swedish Bonafide, which was formed back in 2006. Two years later, they broke through on a wide front when, in the same way as Myrath, they did a double gig at Sweden Rock Festival. Within a day of their own gig, the group replaced Sebastian Bach on the main stage. After only releasing one record and barely existing for two years. Luckily the members were not pigeons back then (as we say in Sweden). The song Fill Your Head With Rock, which was written for Sweden Rock, was named one...
