Never has the interest been so great for an individual artist as when Erik Grönwall sang with Michael Schenker at Time To Rock 2025. So when the chance came, we really wanted to have Erik at the festival again in 2026, when he is now investing heavily in a solo career. We in Sweden should be proud towe have such a star in rock music. A fantastic voice, an entertainer on stage and a humble "one of the guys" personality are just some of the ingredients that make Erik Grönwall who he is. He is so much more than just a God-given voice. After international successes with H.E.A.T, Skid Row and collaborations with some of the biggest names in the rock world, most recently the tour with guitar legend Michael Schenker, it is now clear that Erik Grönwall is going on a solo tour. This marks the start of a whole new chapter in his career - where he steps out on stage entirely under his own name.
"This is something I have been longing for for many years. I have always been in bands and loved being a part of it, but now it is time to tell my own story. It feels like the right time and the right way to meet the audience again."- Erik Grönwall
From viral interpretations to new music - for the first time live
During the pandemic - and in parallel with his own journey, battling cancer - Erik began recording stripped-down interpretations of both his own favorites and classic rock songs. What started as a way to keep his voice and soul alive quickly grew into viral successes with millions of listeners worldwide.
He is now working on his first solo album, and the upcoming gig will be the first opportunity for the Time To Rock audience to experience the new music live, along with some of the most beloved interpretations from his YouTube channel. Welcome back to Knislinge Erik!
