At the request of many: Eclipse confirmed!
Published: February 21 2025 at 09:05
Now we can finally release the band that was actually wanted by most via the festival's "wanted band function": Eclipse. We listen and do our best to fulfill your wishes. Now it's time for the group to make a comeback in Knislinge. Eclipse was formed in Stockholm in 1999 by, among others, Erik Mårtensson (vocals/guitar) and Magnus Henriksson (guitar). The first record, "The truth and a little more" came out in 2001 and was guested by, among others, Kee Marcello (ex-Europe). Three years later came the sequel "Second to none" and to date the band has released more than ten records, the latest of which is "Megalomanium II" (2024). As mentioned above, the band has been in Knislinge before. The year was 2016. Erik and Magnus were on stage with Philip Crusner who was a relatively new drummer and Magnus Ulfstedt who at that time handled the bass. Since 2019, however, that instrument has been handled by Philip's brother, Victor Crusner. For those of you who don't already know Eclipse, we can tell you that this it's all about world class melodic hard rock (not black metal as you might think if you watch the video for "All I Want"). If you like the melodic hard rock bands we've already booked for the festival, you won't be disappointed at Eclipse. Another reason to buy a ticket if you haven't already.
10CC confirmed to play Time To Rock! "I'm Not In Love" may be 10 CC's biggest hit, but contrary to what many believe, the sound of that song is not typical of the British band. 10 CC was formed in Stockport in 1972 and, like their compatriots in The Beatles, frontman Graham Gouldman and his friends were not afraid to experiment with music. Ballads like the aforementioned song were therefore mixed with the reggae-scented "Dreadlock Holiday", the rocking "Art For Art's Sake" etc. The band has made a number of songs worth noting, e.g. "The Wall Street Shuffle" and "Rubber Bullets". Perhaps our more local visitors like "Johnny...

Knogjärn confirmed! Some bands are always at the top when we check the wish list from our website. This year, Knogjärn was in place ##4 and then we felt that it was really time to book them for this summer's festival. Since 2015, when the Karlstad-based band adopted the name Knogjärn and decided to wholeheartedly focus on Swedish lyrics, they have been steadily growing and are now a well-established name on the rock scenes. The band's blend of melodic hard rock and metal, infused with elements of both rap and punk rock, has earned them a broad and loyal audience. Their sixth full-length...

Leningrad Cowboys confirmed. Only show in Sweden. It's been 12 years since the Finnish band with the huge hairstyles and long shoes last performed, and those of you who have seen them live know that this is one of the world's absolute best and craziest live bands of all time. NO ONE leaves a gig with Leningrad Cowboys without a big smile on their face. 32 years ago, the band played the legendary gig at Senate Square in Helsinki in front of 70,000 spectators. The Red Army Choir was there then. Of course, they won't be doing that now, when singer Sakke Järvenpää is digging up the band...

Metal Dragon to open Time To Rock on 4th of July Since we at Time To Rock love crazy humor and everything that is independent, we naturally think that an upcoming Swedish comedy, which is about a fictional hard rock band, is just as fun as can be. The film, WE ARE METAL DRAGON, which is hitting theaters this spring , is directed by Titus Paar and the music is by Jake E (Cyhra, ex Amaranthe). Parts of the film were also recorded at Skogsröjet this summer. Now we can announce that METAL DRAGON will roll into Knislinge Rock City with their dragon house trailer and start Time To Rock with a...
