News, Answers & Info

helge262.jpgWe get a lot of questions via e-mail and SoMe about this summer's festival. Here we have put together a list of things that people are wondering about.

- Tickets are not sold out. Only VIP tickets are sold out. There are a few 1-day VIPs left. Should any ticket type be about to run out, we will let you know.

- Yes, there are 1-day tickets to buy for all days.

- Yes, of course you will still be able to buy a Falcon Export for 59 SEK at the festival.

- A new feature this year is that we will have flushing toilets at the campsite as a complement to the classic baja majors!

- Parking is free and cannot be pre-booked. However, it has never been full, so don't worry. The parking lot is only a 5-10 minute walk away.

- There are still places left at the festival campsite, even though it has started to fill up quite a bit recently. If you want a caravan/motorhome space, book it now.

- There are a few cabins left to rent via Festivalstugan.se. These cabins are located next to the festival campsite.

- There are buses between Kristianstad-Knislinge all day (and evenings). These buses also go to Osby, Broby etc. These buses are run by Skånetrafiken.

- There will be a bus to and from Hässleholm just like last year. However, there are fewer trips per day here. Times will be announced shortly, but there will be buses in the morning/morning and evenings/nights.

- There are still hotel rooms left in Kristianstad, Hässleholm, Osby etc. However, we recommend booking now. Check our website for a lot of other nice options.

- Our food vendors have vegetarian options. A list of all food vendors is on G!

- We strongly recommend that when you arrive at the festival area, go and pick up your wristband on time. This way, we and you will avoid queues.

- This year, we will widen our search stations at the entrance so that it is faster to get in. Although there were rarely any direct queues last year, there were some before the opening of the area on Friday and Saturday, so now we are solving it for this year.

- There will be no bag ban this year (not what applies right now anyway). There will be a bag drop-off at the ticket exchange for those of you who want to drop off something while you are at the festival.

- This summer we will make the immensely popular Helge Å bar even bigger and cozier.

- We will soon be ready with this year's drink range and then you will of course find out about this!

- We have received a lot of inquiries now about whether we intend to show the World Cup now that Sweden is participating. Sweden's group stage matches will be played before Time To Rock. Should Sweden go far in the tournament, we will of course look into the possibility of broadcasting any play-off matches, if it should end up on our dates.

- If you are coming by plane, Copenhagen Airport is the best place to go. From there there is a direct train to Kristianstad which takes 90 minutes. From Kristianstad there are buses to the festival area.

- If you are coming by train, we recommend that you go to Kristianstad where there are buses to the festival area.

- We have bought a "train"...TBC

Tyketto Unplugged today We regret to inform you that Tyketto's drummer is stuck on a highway in Germany due to a major accident (he was NOT involved in the crash himself) and has consequently missed his flight to Copenhagen. Faced with the choice of either cancelling the show entirely or having the band perform an acoustic set instead, we opted for the latter. So, today you will see Tyketto Unplugged, and we hope this turns out to be a unique and positive experience rather than a cancelled gig.

THE HEADLINES replace Discharge After hours upon hours of work trying to secure a replacement for Discharge, we are now proud to present: THE HEADLINES. The Headlines are a punk rock band from Malmö, formed in 2005. With an explosive blend of classic punk, rock 'n' roll, and strong melodies, they have crafted a unique sound inspired by bands like The Clash, Rancid, and the Ramones. Over the years, The Headlines have established themselves as one of Sweden's most active touring punk bands. They have played over 800 shows across Europe, Canada, Japan, China, and Russia, building a particularly loyal following in Germany. On stage,...

Discharge cancel We have a very sad announcement. A little while ago we received a message from Discharge that their flight from England had been cancelled. Their alternative was to take another flight, but it would land at 10pm on Saturday, which would then be after their gig. We offered them to come a day earlier and arranged a hotel room for them, but there was not a single flight available for them that day. So there will be no Discharge this year. We are doing our very best to find a replacement at such short notice and will get back with this...

Wishbone Ash to replace Foghat It's never fun when a band cancels. It's even worse when a band cancels so close to the festival. We also know that many people were looking forward to seeing Foghat this summer. Finding a "perfect" replacement at such short notice is not easy, but we think we've succeeded really well, as we can present the legendary WISHBONE ASH. The band that once taught Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest what "twin guitars" were. The band will then take over Foghat's playing time, Monday, July 6th at 4:15 PM on the Rock Kommander Stage. A big thank you to Wishbone...

Battleaxe cancel - Eric Sardinas to replace! The saddest thing is when a band cancels. When they cancel because they consider it problematic to travel from England to Sweden in these times, it becomes even sadder. But we have tried to explain to Battleaxe that there is no problem at all to fly to Sweden, but without success. With short notice and many things we have to go to print etc., we do not have time to try to find a replacement in the same genre. However, we can proudly present Florida-born guitarist and blues rocker Eric Sardinas . He has made a name for himself for his...
