Magnum to Time To Rock - Only show in Sweden!

bandshotbyaf8.pngWhen Magnum guitarist and songwriter Tony Clarkin passed away in January 2024, it also meant the end of this legendary, British band. Singer Bob Catley felt that he did not want to continue without his partner in crime by his side. When the worst of the grief subsided and the questions from fans started to pour in, the band decided to do a small number of tribute shows for Tony Clarkin in England. To once take the stage and play a selection of all the classic songs, writen by Tony Clarkin, to sold-out houses. As the band felt that the magic was still there and the interest was greater than ever, Magnum decided to expand their shows to also include a few festival shows in 2026. When Tony Clarkin's daughter, Dionne, went through her father's material, she found a lot of recordings with unreleased material, which will now become a new Magnum album. Most people probably know that Sweden and Magnum always had a real love story, and now that the band has decided to play their only gig with us at the Time To Rock Festival, we feel both happy and proud to present this fantastic band that has a treasure trove of songs like almost no other band.
Anyone who grew up with hard rock, will of course know songs like "Soldier of the Line", "The Spirit", "On a Storytellers Night", "How Far Jerusalem", "Les Morts Dansant", "Vigilante", "Kingdom of Madness", "Need a Lot of Love", "Just Like an Arrow", yes the list can be as long as you want. So we hope that you will all come to us in Knislinge this summer to once again see this eminent band and at the same time pay tribute to one of the best songwriters in rock history, a fantastic guitarist and a fantastic person; Mr Tony Clarkin. So from us as a festival and the band: Welcome to Knislinge Rock City!

Erik Grönwall to Time To Rock Never has the interest been so great for an individual artist as when Erik Grönwall sang with Michael Schenker at Time To Rock 2025. So when the chance came, we really wanted to have Erik at the festival again in 2026, when he is now investing heavily in a solo career. We in Sweden should be proud towe have such a star in rock music. A fantastic voice, an entertainer on stage and a humble "one of the guys" personality are just some of the ingredients that make Erik Grönwall who he is. He is so much more than just a...

10CC confirmed to play Time To Rock! "I'm Not In Love" may be 10 CC's biggest hit, but contrary to what many believe, the sound of that song is not typical of the British band. 10 CC was formed in Stockport in 1972 and, like their compatriots in The Beatles, frontman Graham Gouldman and his friends were not afraid to experiment with music. Ballads like the aforementioned song were therefore mixed with the reggae-scented "Dreadlock Holiday", the rocking "Art For Art's Sake" etc. The band has made a number of songs worth noting, e.g. "The Wall Street Shuffle" and "Rubber Bullets". Perhaps our more local visitors like "Johnny...

Knogjärn confirmed! Some bands are always at the top when we check the wish list from our website. This year, Knogjärn was in place ##4 and then we felt that it was really time to book them for this summer's festival. Since 2015, when the Karlstad-based band adopted the name Knogjärn and decided to wholeheartedly focus on Swedish lyrics, they have been steadily growing and are now a well-established name on the rock scenes. The band's blend of melodic hard rock and metal, infused with elements of both rap and punk rock, has earned them a broad and loyal audience. Their sixth full-length...

Leningrad Cowboys confirmed. Only show in Sweden. It's been 12 years since the Finnish band with the huge hairstyles and long shoes last performed, and those of you who have seen them live know that this is one of the world's absolute best and craziest live bands of all time. NO ONE leaves a gig with Leningrad Cowboys without a big smile on their face. 32 years ago, the band played the legendary gig at Senate Square in Helsinki in front of 70,000 spectators. The Red Army Choir was there then. Of course, they won't be doing that now, when singer Sakke Järvenpää is digging up the band...

Metal Dragon to open Time To Rock on 4th of July Since we at Time To Rock love crazy humor and everything that is independent, we naturally think that an upcoming Swedish comedy, which is about a fictional hard rock band, is just as fun as can be. The film, WE ARE METAL DRAGON, which is hitting theaters this spring , is directed by Titus Paar and the music is by Jake E (Cyhra, ex Amaranthe). Parts of the film were also recorded at Skogsröjet this summer. Now we can announce that METAL DRAGON will roll into Knislinge Rock City with their dragon house trailer and start Time To Rock with a...
